Awkward Beginning... Cliffhanger Ending

Somebody had to write the first post. I'll keep it short and sweet since the interesting stuff is yet to come.

The IIT Peru team left yesterday. I did my best to help prepare them. For the last several months I acted as an adviser to their 8 person team. They are on their way to Sincape, Peru which is a long way North of Huarmey up the Pan-Am highway.

On the plus side, they have more knowledge of what they're getting into than I did. On the other hand, they won't be accompanied by people who have been there before like I was. They have a good plan and they are good people. I think they'll succeed.

On the home front, I seem to have yet another sinus affliction keeping me plastered to the bed. Yesterday, I made the cats chase a laser pointer and watched Cliffhanger. It was neat. Here's hoping I get better before the trip.
